Enablence Secures Order for GE-PON Diplexer Transceiver Product OTTAWA, ONTARIO — (MARKET WIRE) — December 14, 2006 — (TSX VENTURE: ENA) Enablence Technologies Inc. (”Enablence” or the “Corporation”), a developer of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Transceivers for optical modems, has

today announced that it has accepted a purchase order for its GE-PON Diplexer Transceiver product designed for the Fiber-to-the-Home industry.

“Enablence has begun receiving purchase orders for our Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) based GE-PON Diplexer Transceivers earlier than anticipated,” announced Arvind Chhatbar, the Chief Executive Officer of Enablence Technologies Inc. “We believe this early order is an indication of the growing demand for Enablence’s products as we prepare our production lines for accepting larger volume orders in 2007.”

Enablence’s GE-PON Diplexer Transceivers are designed using Enablence’s Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) technology and are manufactured using fully automated production lines. Enablence’s Diplexer Transceivers are for GE-PON applications operating at 1.25 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and are designed to be fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ah GE-PON.
