Ericsson delivers 3G/HSPA for Indosat in Indonesia STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN — (MARKET WIRE) — November 29, 2006 —
PT Indosat (Indosat) has selected Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) to delivera 3G/WCDMA network in Indonesia. This agreement includes providing ahigher data rates and enhance end-user experience through High-SpeedPacket Access (HSPA).
Under
this full turnkey agreement, Ericsson will provide Indosat withthe radio and core networks, including network design, deployment,integration, performance and improvement of its WCDMA networkcovering Jakarta and surrounding areas as well as West Java, CentralJava and Yogyakarta.
Enhancing its network with HSPA will enable Indosat to offerappealing mobile services with data speeds of up to 3.6Mbps, allowingit to offer true mobile broadband, mobile video and other multimediaservices to its customers.
