products, enteredinto a contract with RexGene Biotech on January 3, 2007, to develop,produce and market a new type of health supplement product containingEugene Science’s exclusive CZ™ which cholesterol-lowering nutraceuticalproducts. The two companies signed an MOU on November 2, 2006, prior tothis official contract.
With this contract, Eugene Science will develop with RexGene Biotechvarious types of health supplements made of plant sterol and market rawmaterials and end products using RexGene Biotech’s sales networks. RexGeneBiotech has a strong sales network through network marketing (High-Living),Korea’s largest drugstore chain (Onnuri), TV home shopping andcollaborating pharmaceutical companies and recently completed healthybeverage production facility to expand its scope of business. Therefore,it would provide Eugene Science with various business opportunities tobroaden and diversify raw material and end product markets.
Furthermore, Eugene Science’s powerful technology and products, coupledwith RexGene Biotech’s global production facilities and collaborativemarketing networks, would be able to open up new possibilities for Korea’shealth supplement market and respond to the stricter product qualitycontrol requirements of the Health Supplement Act.
