Jaguar Nickel Inc.: Canadian Patent Granted to Jaguar Nickel

Canadian Patent Granted to Jaguar Nickel TORONTO, ONTARIO — (MARKET WIRE) — November 30, 2006 — Jaguar Nickel Inc. (the “Company”)(TSX: JNI) announced today that the Commissioner of Patents has granted Canadian Patent No. 2,467,288 to Jaguar. This issued patent follows several

years of investment by the Company into the development of an atmospheric chloride leach process (ACLP) for the recovery of value metals from material containing base metal oxides. The term of the patent is 20 years from the date of filing, which is May 13, 2024.

The awarding of this first metallurgical process patent to the Company is an important step in protecting the investment which Jaguar undertook starting in 2002 when searching for a new method to potentially allow development, using a single environmentally advantaged process plant, of the full horizon of ore types found in lateritic nickel ore bodies around the globe.

The Company values its proprietary process technology patent rights, research data, and engineering studies which define the ACLP. The Company has filed patent applications and continues to pursue the applications with respect to its proprietary metallurgical process technologies in Canada, the United States, Australia, Europe, and other critical jurisdictions.
