Suit Against Mathew Knowles Dismissed

HOUSTON, TX — (MARKET WIRE) — January 09, 2007 — A lawsuit filed in New York against MathewKnowles, President & CEO of Music World Entertainment, has been dismissedin his favor.

In early 2006,

the recording artist Mario Barrett filed suit against one ofhis managers, Troy Patterson, and a company owned by Patterson called ThirdStreet Music. Barrett alleged that Patterson and Third Street engaged incertain conduct which resulted in Barrett receiving less compensation thathe was entitled to under various agreements. Patterson and Third Streetdenied Barrett’s allegations.

Third Street Music then brought Mathew Knowles and several other defendantsinto the suit. Third Street alleged that Knowles encouraged Barrett not toperform under a recording agreement with Third Street, and that Knowles’actions caused damages to Third Street. Knowles denied the allegations.

A number of the parties resolved the case by entering into a settlementagreement. The terms of the settlement are confidential.

Knowles was not a party to the settlement. After the settlement wasreached, all claims against Knowles were dismissed.
