RUSTON,
LA — (MARKET WIRE) — January 24, 2007 — Network Foundation Technologies, LLC (NFT), aninnovator in developing and commercializing online video streamingtechnology that is headquarter in Ruston at the Louisiana Tech BusinessIncubator, today announced it was awarded a $100,000 grant from theNational Science Foundation (NSF), an independent federal agency thatsupports fundamental research and education across all fields of scienceand engineering.

Dr. Les Guice, Vice President for Research and Development at LouisianaTech, who initially recruited NFT to the University’s business incubatorsaid: “The rigorous peer review process of the NSF further validates thegreat promise that NFT’s technology offers the country for commercialsuccess.”

The fact that during this year’scompetition only about 10% of the more than 1,000 proposals submitted tothe NSF SBIR program were selected for funding, speaks to the confidencethe National Science Foundation has in NFT’s approach to onlinebroadcasting,” said Dr. Mike O’Neal, Founder and Chief Scientist of NFT.
